Mohammed Hussain, Yellow Cars Manager said, “The 5% hike in passenger numbers is vitally important to the area and we’ve noticed a sharp spike in people choosing Yellow Cars Airport Transfers as their first choice to Birmingham Airport. Finally, the Yellow Cars Manager said, “Almost every week there’s something positive in the news about destination expansions at Birmingham Airport. Yellow Cars Wishes Everyone Could See Beauty of Birmingham from the Air Thanks to Police Helicopter Crew

Have you seen stunning images captured by N.P.A.S., the Birmingham National Police Air Service on their way back home to Birmingham Airport?

Mohammed Hussain, Yellow Cars Manager said, “Usually it’s an astronaut who makes headlines for taking photos from space but when the police air crew make local news for their snaps it’s something very special to see indeed. Sometimes driving around Birmingham we can take for granted the view. The aerial photographs give us a different perspective and appreciation for our beautiful district.”

The air crew’s Twitter account https://twitter.com/npasbirmingham shows the pictures which were gathered as members of the team were making their journey back after being on duty during a missing persons search in South Staffordshire.

The aircraft is equipped with an array of high tech specifications including thermal imaging used in such searches.

Finally, the Yellow Cars Manager said, “The next time our Yellow Cars drivers and passengers see the police helicopter overhead they could be in some of the scenic photographs being posted on social media!”

Mohammed Hussain, Yellow Cars Manager said, “I’m upbeat to see that a decision was finalised at a recent meeting of the Appointments Committee to raise pay to living wage ranks of £8.25 per hour. It’s been reported in local media that Councillor Mike Bird is quoted as saying, “We’re going to follow the living wage yes. We will review it annually as we have to with certain financial situations but it’s only right and proper that we do it. Everybody deserves to be paid the living wage.”

Finally, the Yellow Cars Manager said, “It’s only fair that the people on the front line helping the people of the area are paid a just wage. I’m sure the additional estimated £250,000 in pay rates will come back to the council in other ways with much happier staff in the workplace.”

Yellow Cars Welcomes Badly Needed £60 Million Injection into 70-Year-Old Birmingham City Council Housing

Yellow Cars Welcomes Badly Needed £60 Million Injection into 70-Year-Old Birmingham City Council Housing

An investment of £59 million will improve the current stock of council homes in the city, many of which are approaching 70 years old.

Darren Thorpe, Yellow Cars Managing Director said, “We have repeated listened to the concerns of our customers and families living in the area. It’s the basics really that many require, especially heating, insulation, kitchen, bathroom, window and roof upgrades. Almost 6,000 houses are set to receive this much needed revamp and we’re very happy to hear about this.”

Yellow Cars saw in a statement from Birmingham City Council that Councillor John Cotton is quoted as saying, “We currently own and manage 63,138 residential properties and have made substantial improvements to thousands of our properties over the last few years. The average age of our properties is approaching 70 years so investing in our stock is essential in order to safeguard its condition.”

The Councillor continued in a press release issue by the Council by stating, “Not only will this substantially improve our tenants’ homes, but by replacing inefficient heating systems, we can further reduce the city’s carbon dioxide emissions and lower our tenants’ heating bills.”

Finally, the Yellow Cars Managing Direction said, “I’m also excited to hear that Cabinet is looking to reduce rent by 1% in the area. This is very welcome news indeed for the families we service at Yellow Cars. I just hope it won’t be completely wiped out by other service charges on the cards. We care deeply about the local community and want them to enjoy a better quality of living as quickly as possible. We hope there won’t be any undue delays in delivering on the promises.”

Yellow Cars Welcomes Grant of Almost £400,000 to Give Wolverhampton’s Central Youth Theatre a Brand New Home

Yellow Cars Welcomes Grant of Almost £400,000 to Give Wolverhampton’s Central Youth Theatre a Brand New Home

£384,000 has been allocated to Central Youth Theatre to help it have a new base in Wolverhampton.

The welcome grant from The Arts Council will position the new space opposite the Grand Theatre in the city.

Darren Thorpe, Yellow Cars Managing Director said, “The families of Wolverhampton deserve this new facility. Over the last 21 years at Yellow Cars we’ve grown up with these young people. I’m pleased to see the old Co-Operative building over on Lichfield Street will be unrecognisable soon and devoted to the arts.”

Central Youth Theatre, Director, Jane Ward, is quoted in local media saying, “This has been the most amazing news. Although this money has been awarded by the Arts Council, it is a tribute to all those who have donated money to our original campaign to make the former Co-operative building our permanent home. This is going to be a fantastic facility for young people for many years to come and young people will be at the forefront of helping to re-generate Wolverhampton city centre.”

The Director of The Arts Council, Peter Knott, is also reported as commenting that, “Central Youth Theatre plays an important role in Wolverhampton’s arts scene, giving young people the chance to develop and share their creative talents. “We’re delighted to be investing in plans to give the company a permanent home for the future. By equipping this building with the facilities they need, we hope to see our investment support the region’s creative economy to thrive.”

Mr. Thorpe added that, “Everyone at Yellow Cars is excited to see the work on the new building start, hopefully by the end of 2016. A lot of the additional funding to complete the project had been raised locally by likeminded people within the community. It’s a credit to the area.”

Yellow Cars Delighted 4 Local Normandy World War II Heroes from The Black Country Decorated with Legion of Honour Medals

Yellow Cars Delighted 4 Local Normandy World War II Heroes from The Black Country Decorated with Legion of Honour Medals

The highest military honour that France can bestow has been awarded to 4 local gentlemen for their galant efforts during the World War II D-Day Landings.

These fine veterans of Normandy are Simeon Mayou, a former Councillor in Walsall, Arthur Utley, George Stokes and Bernard Benson.

Darren Thorpe, Yellow Cars Managing Director said, “It’s fantastic to think that we live in the midst of 4 heroes in our local area. The National Order of the Legion of Honour goes right back to the time of Napoleon Bonaparte himself. This truly is history in the making if I ever saw it.

It’s been reported in the press that a formal reception was organised by the French Embassy and the Mayor of Walsall to pay tribute to the men to mark their bravery along with their families.

French Honorary Consul, Robert Mille, said, “I am here on behalf of the French people to express our undying and heartfelt thanks in respect of the enormous debt of gratitude we owe you.”

Mr. Thorpe added, “Let’s take a moment to recognise the bravery of these men. 91-year-old Simeon Mayou from Pelsall, 92-year-old Arthur Utley is from Willenhall, 95-year-old George Stokes from Bloxwich and 94-year-old Bernard Benson from Walsall. Community is at the heart of our business and these men have made there way into all of our hearts.”

Sadness Expressed by Yellow Cars Over Theft of Paramedic, Ambulance & Police Equipment in The West Midlands Over the Past 4 Years

Sadness Expressed by Yellow Cars Over Theft of Paramedic, Ambulance & Police Equipment in The West Midlands Over the Past 4 Years

It’s been reported in the media that life saving medical equipment such as oxygen tanks, medicines, fire extinguishers, anti-stab vests, safes, sets of handcuffs and a variety of expensive technology, cars, motorbikes, several dozen bicycles, official clothing and personal belongings have apparently been stolen from ambulances, paramedics personnel and members of the West Midlands Police force in recent years.

Darren Thorpe, Yellow Cars Managing Director, said, “3 items alone are believed to have been valued at £7,000. I’m delighted to hear that West Midlands Police are purposely planting high value items to try and snare the culprits. It’s pretty low when paramedics are robbed of an oxygen tank out of an ambulance when you’re in the line of duty.”

The West Midlands Ambulance Service, Spokesperson, Jamie Arrowsmith is quoted in the media as saying, “The culprits are endangering lives and should remember that it could be one of their own loved ones being treated that could suffer from their actions. Stealing life saving equipment from an emergency vehicle, especially whilst a patient is being treated is truly outrageous.”

Mr. Thorpe added that, “We echo the sentiments of the emergency services. We’re all just trying to do a job out there and keep everyone safe. We all need to be extra vigilant in our local communities at this time. When an ambulance is robbed it needs to be temporarily taken off the road to replace vital equipment. How many lives could be put at risk? It’s worth thinking about.”
